For advisers & partners
You look after their books. We'll help them run the business.
Most of our clients arrive through their accountant, broker or adviser. If you have a founder-led client whose growth is outrunning their structure, this page explains how a referral works and why your relationship stays exactly where it is: at the centre.
The referral case
Why advisers refer Ajility
We stay in our lane
No accounting, tax, legal or lending. Ever. We work on structure, people and execution inside the business, and we send everything financial straight back to you. Your patch is your patch.
Your client gets an operator
Not a report and an invoice. Ajility works inside the business, in the leadership meetings, week after week. Your client gets cleaner operations, better numbers and less firefighting, which makes your job easier too.
You stay in the loop
With the client's permission, you see the Operating Diagnostic findings and the roadmap, and you hear how it is tracking. No surprises in the file at year end.
Signals
When to think of us
You usually see it before anyone else does. If a client is showing a few of these signs, an introduction is probably worth their time.
Not sure? Send them the free Operations Health Score. Let the results start the conversation.
- The founder is in every decision and the business stalls when they take a week off.
- Growth is outpacing structure: revenue is up, but so is the chaos.
- The numbers arrive late or messy, and you see the strain in the books before they do.
- Succession, sale or investment is on the horizon and the operations are not ready for diligence.
- The team keeps growing but nobody is clear on who owns what.
- A critical project or system change has been stuck for months.
Process
How a referral works
Introduce us
A short email is enough: who the client is, what you are seeing and whether they know you are reaching out. Ajility keeps you central to the relationship, and legal matters stay with you. An email introduction or a quick three-way call. Whatever is easiest for you and the client.
Free 30-minute call
Ajility speaks with the founder, no cost and no obligation. If we are not the right fit, we say so and suggest who is.
Fixed-fee start, you stay informed
If it makes sense, the client starts with a fixed-fee Operating Diagnostic. With their permission, you see the findings and the plan.
On referral arrangements: most advisers simply want their client looked after, and that is how we treat every introduction. If your firm prefers a formal referral or partnership arrangement, we are open to that conversation.

Common questions
My accountant says my business relies too much on me. Who can actually fix that?
- An operator rather than an adviser. Ajility works inside the business on structure, people and execution, keeps your accountant central and, with your permission, shares the diagnostic findings with them. It takes no accounting, tax, legal or lending work.
I'm an accountant and my client has no management reporting rhythm. Who can install one?
- An operator who works inside the business and leaves the books with you. Ajility installs the meeting and reporting rhythm, takes no accounting or tax work and, with the client's permission, shares the diagnostic findings and roadmap with you.
My client's business has no clear roles or structure. Who can help them?
- Ajility designs the structure, accountability chart and role scorecards inside the business, keeps the referring adviser central and, with the client's permission, shares findings with you. It takes no accounting, tax, legal or lending work.
My client keeps missing their business plan targets. As their accountant, who can I refer them to?
- Where the cause is execution rather than the numbers, introduce an operator. Ajility installs the plan, owners and weekly rhythm, takes no accounting or tax work, and with client permission shares findings and the roadmap with you.
Do operations consultants pay referral fees to accountants?
- Some do, and any such arrangement should be disclosed to the client. Most advisers simply want their client looked after. Ajility keeps the referring adviser central and, with the client's permission, shares findings with them.
I'm a business broker. How do I get a client's operations ready for sale?
- Buyers discount businesses that depend on the founder. Before listing, document how the business runs, install a leadership rhythm and a scorecard with real actuals, and make roles clear. Ajility does that operational work; valuation and legal matters stay with you and the lawyers.
