The right system, chosen for your operation, not the one with the best salesperson.
Ajility leads system rollouts as initiative leadership, from $3,600 per month plus GST, covering implementation planning, data migration, cutover and adoption. It is vendor-independent, sells no software and takes no commissions. Ajility is vendor-independent and sells no software. The work is to write the requirements before the demonstrations, evaluate vendors against them, plan the implementation properly and install the operating rhythm that makes people use the system after go-live.

Six steps from requirement to routine use
A system is only worth what people do with it. The selection decides whether it can work; the implementation and the rhythm decide whether it does.
Requirements first
What the operation actually has to do, written down and agreed, before a single demonstration is booked.
Vendor evaluation
A scored comparison against those requirements, using your own scenarios in the demonstration rather than the vendor's script.
Total cost and exit
Licences, implementation, integration, internal time and what it would take to leave, assessed before the contract is signed.
Implementation planning
Sequence, data migration, cutover, testing and a named internal owner for each, with dates that survive contact with the business.
Adoption
Training aimed at the way the work is actually done, and the removal of the old workaround, because both systems running is how adoption dies.
The operating rhythm
The weekly and monthly cadence that uses the system's reporting, so the system becomes how the business is run rather than another place to enter data.
No software is sold here, and no vendor pays us
Ajility holds no reseller agreements, no implementation partnerships and no referral arrangements, and takes no commission, rebate or margin from any vendor. The recommendation is written against your requirements, and the reasoning is shown so you can disagree with it.
Sometimes the recommendation is to keep the system you already have and fix the way it is configured and used. That answer is cheaper than a replatform and is offered where it is the right one.
Platform work that spans both sides of the decision
Systems and process have run through every role since 2007 — the first job in the record was training store teams on operating systems. Since then, the work has covered twenty-plus named platforms across five categories: ERP (SAP), project and job management (Procore, SIMPRO, Ignition), ATS/CRM (Bullhorn, Pipedrive), finance and reporting (Xero, Fathom), and workforce and work management (Deputy, Time2u, ClickUp, Asana, Microsoft Planner, PandaDoc).
That experience spans both sides of the decision: writing business requirements and negotiating with vendors, including renegotiating a major platform renewal at 70% below the original quote, and the unglamorous half — implementation, data cleanup, training the people who use it, and the adoption rhythm afterwards.

Selection and implementation are delivered through the Systems & Operational Improvement service line, or scoped first through the Operating Diagnostic where it is not yet clear that a system is the constraint. Both are published, with their scope and fee, on the packages page.

How does selection run?
- Requirements are gathered from the people doing the work and agreed with the leadership team, then weighted so that the important few outrank the long list of preferences. A shortlist of vendors is scored against those requirements, demonstrations are run using your scenarios and your data, references are taken from businesses of a similar size, and total cost including internal time is compared. The recommendation is written, with the reasoning visible.
How long does implementation take?
- For a business turning over $3M to $30M, a job management, field or reporting platform typically runs three to six months from signature to steady state, and something ERP-adjacent longer. The variable is rarely the software. It is the availability of internal people to make decisions, clean the data and test, which is why that time is planned for at the start rather than absorbed later.
Why does adoption fail?
- Adoption fails when the old way is still available, when the system was configured for how the business wished it worked rather than how it works, when nobody internally owns it after go-live, and when the reporting the system produces is not used in any meeting. Each of those is preventable, and each is addressed in the plan rather than discovered afterwards.
Does Ajility take vendor commissions?
- No, never. Ajility is vendor-independent, sells no software, holds no reseller or referral arrangements, and receives no commission, rebate or fee from any vendor at any point. The only party paying Ajility is you. If that ever changed it would be disclosed in writing before any recommendation was made.
What happens after go-live?
- Go-live is the start of the work, not the end. The following weeks cover a hypercare period where issues are triaged daily, the retirement of the parallel spreadsheets and the old system, a check that the reporting is being used in the weekly and monthly cadence, and a written review of what was delivered against what was specified, including what was not.
What is the best job management software for electrical contractors?
- The best one fits how your jobs are quoted, scheduled, costed and claimed. Shortlist two or three trade platforms, test each on one of your real jobs, and judge the labour cost and cost to complete reporting before the price.
Independent adviser or software vendor's consultant to choose our ERP?
- A vendor's consultant configures one product and is paid from that side. An independent adviser writes your requirements first, scores vendors against them and plans adoption. Ajility is vendor-independent, sells no software and takes no commissions.
Do I need a COO or better software?
- Software automates the way work already runs. If ownership, decisions and processes are unclear, new software will digitise the confusion. Fix the operating model first, then choose systems against written requirements.
How much does it cost to implement a job management system?
- It depends on the vendor and the size of the business, and internal time is often the largest hidden cost. Ajility runs requirements-led selection, compares total cost including internal time, and takes no vendor commission. Implementation typically takes three to six months.
What cash flow forecasting software works with Xero or MYOB?
- Several forecasting tools connect to Xero and MYOB, and many businesses do well with a spreadsheet. Choose based on how you will run the weekly review. Ajility is vendor-independent, sells no software and takes no commissions.
Which Xero add-ons do I need for job costing?
- Xero alone does not track live job cost well, so most contractors add a job management or timesheet tool that posts labour and materials against each job. Choose it by the weekly cost to complete report you need, not by the feature list.
