Weekly Scorecard Builder

A weekly scorecard builder helps a leadership team pick the handful of numbers it reviews every week, give each one a single owner and a weekly target, and lay them out across 13 weeks. Choose three to nine measures across cash, sales, delivery, margin and people, or add your own. It is built for owners and leaders of Australian businesses between $3M and $30M who want a KPI scorecard that actually gets used.

Who this is for

Owners and leaders of Australian businesses between $3M and $30M in revenue who want a straight answer from their own numbers, without a spreadsheet or a sales call. It takes about 5 minutes.

How the calculation works

Pick between three and nine measures. Fewer than three gives too little to manage by; more than nine and nobody reads them.

Every measure needs one owner, a named person rather than a team, and one weekly target. The scorecard is complete when every measure has both.

The report lays the measures out across 13 weeks, ready to fill in at the weekly meeting.

FAQ

Common questions

How many measures should a weekly scorecard have?

A weekly scorecard works best with between three and nine measures, enough to cover cash, sales, delivery, margin and people without becoming a report nobody reads.

Why does each measure need one owner?

A measure owned by a team is owned by nobody, so naming one person makes it clear who explains the number and acts when it is off target.

What is the difference between a scorecard and a dashboard?

A dashboard shows many numbers to look at, while a scorecard is a short list of weekly numbers, each with an owner and a target, reviewed in a fixed meeting.
